Word has been received that a cyclone yesterday practically devastated the Cocos Islands. The cable station was practically wrecked, and the operating room flooded. All the other buildings were blown away. The Cocos, or Keeling, Islands, are a group of small coral atolls in the Indian Ocean, attached for administrative purposes to the Straits Settlements. There are some large coconut plantation? on the islands.
