In the Supreme Court Mr: Justice Donnistcn refused an application by Joseph Smylhe, agent, for an injunction restraining the Parapara Iron Ore Company from proceeding with contracts for the sale of the company's property. The statement of defence was that the secretary of the company had been kept fully cognisant of tho proceedings of tho. company, and to tho best of his knowledge and belief no contract for the sale of the whole or part of the property of the company had ever been before the directors, nor had any such contract beei< discussed by them. A pledge was given on behalf of tho directors that if any agents were appointed no powor of attorney would be granted, and any such appointment could be recked by the shareholders in genera l meeting.
