Luedke and his two companions, who last week collected two hundred pounds by disguising themselves as judge and officials of a Berlin court, had previously performed similar exploits nt Leipzig, Bonn, Elberfeld, and Dusseldorf. The porter of the Leipzig court committed suicide"" through vexation at being duped.
