FOOTBALL.
WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Wellington Football Association was held last evening, Mr. "H. X. Holmes presiding. A letter was received trom the New Zealand Council asking for a guaranteed amount in connection with the proposed tonr of a New South Wales team in New Zealand next -season. A committee consisting of the executive officers and Messrs. Roberts, Courtney, and Mayer., was set up to submit a report on the question to the next meeting. The boys' sub-committee submitted a lengthy report on the question of tho junior competitions. Approval Avas expressed at the work done by the subcommittee, and the secretary was instructed to send a copy of the report to each boys' club. 'Already, it was stated, there are promises of some six more teams next .season. The various trophies were then presented by the chairman to the winning ■nlnlio " "
