CHILD BURNT TO DEATH.

Fbt teleghath — press association.! AUCKLAND, This Day. A young girl, daughter of Mr W. Cotter, butcher, Te Kuiti, was burned to death yesterday. She lit some gorse and her clothes caught fire. The accident was unobserved until her clothing had been nearly all burned off. Then a young man, Albert Kneebone, tore off the remainder. He suffered severe burns to his hands. Medical attendance was procured, but the child died two hours later.
