fBT TELFOBAPH — PRESS ASSOOIATION.I AUCKLAND, 16th November. At the Suprome Court to-day William Duncan am! Mark Craven Richards were charged with having committed an assault causing actual bodily harm. Tho jury brought in a verdict of not guilty against Richards, and of guilty of drunkenness and common assault against Duncan. Both prisoners were remanded nending the hearing of a further charge against Richard's. Frank Hauthorne Siulon, who had pleaded guilty to fi\ o charges of forgery and on©
of falsification, was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment with hard labour. William Cheesley, who had pleaded guilty to two (Aar;;ps of theft from a vessel, was sentencon to a month's imprisonment. William Miles, alias Alfred German, en a charge of theft from the counting-house of tho Auckland Tramways Comnany, was found guilty and remanded for s'enteiice.
