HOSPITAL LEASEHOLDS.
The following recommendations wore Submitted to the Hospital Trustees this morning by its Leasehold Committee :— " (1) The application from Messrs. Chapman, Skerrett., Wylie, and Tripp on behalf of the estate* of the late ii. M. Greenfield, a lease be given for balance of present term for boih allotments, 11 and 16, Salamanca-road, at a rental of £111 per annum, ptus cash, oi\on annuity, tor balance of present term, such as will produce the reversionary value of building at expiry of the original term, such value to be determined by the Hospital Trustees' valuer. Tho lease to contain perpetual right of renewal for term of fourteen years on revaluation of ground rent. If the trustees of the estate entertain this offer, they may deposit valuation fee, and Iho matter will receive immediate attention. " (2) Ro Mr. W. H. George in further reference to the waste strip of land in front of the leasehold property occupied by him in Salamanca-road, the committee wait on the City Council Reserves Committee with the object to confer with them and Mr. Mortjjn with a view of acquiring the strip " of land fronting the section in Salamanca-road. " (3) Re application from Mr. S. Kirkcaldie, attorney for Mr. Robert Stains, fche>_ surrender of lease containing provision for sale by auction, and grant a Glasgow lease at present rental (£7 per annum) for balance of term, and containing provision for new valuation every fourteen years of ground rent, and that Mr. Kirkcaldie's application for •paying in advance of all rents for present and renewed term of lease of 18th August, 1896, be accepted. Such payment being subject to a discount of 4 per cent." All the recommendations were adopted
