* PREMISES TOTALLY DESTROYED. [BY TELEGRAPH — SPECIAL TO THE POST.] FOXTON, This Day. Shortly before nine this morning a fire started in the Whitanui mill, owned by Whitanui, Limited (Mr. Greig, manager), situated on the river bank, '•he conflagration started in the tow hole, and fanned by a strong westerly wind quickly spread to the engine room, resulting in the almost total destruction, of the mill. By the strenuous efforts of a band of helpers the fibre was saved from the scutching shed. There was no insurance, and the extent of the damage is not yet ascertained.
