Wellington Gas Company defeated the 'Post and Telegraph Stores in a ten-men teams' match with iMorris tube rifle attachments. Coombs and Aston both made one short of the possible score for the winners, Smallbone (33) and Dodgson (31) being next highest. The best scores for the losers were 31 by Gockerall, and 29 each by Cook, Arnold, and W'Ardle. ■Recently a Palmerston North man named Peter Peterson , was spraying trees, and the spray, which contained a large quantity of Hme, got into one eye.
