At the Supreme Court in the charge of manslaughter arising out of the fatal tramway accident at Onehunga, the jury found that there was no case against Hally, the motorman, and ho was discharged. In the case against Birkett, the conductor, also charged -with manslaughter, the jury returned a verdict of guilty. Sentence was deferred till Monday.
