A WESTRALIAN'S INVENTION. COMPANY FORMED TO EXPLOIT IT.
(Received July 22, 10.45 a.m.) PERTH, This Day. The Westralian Aerial Navigation ..Company has been registered, to acquire Thomson and Boyd's interests in aerial machines. It is claimed that the new 'invention includes a novel steering apparatus, which overcomes many of the , difficulties in the way of successful aerial 'voyaging. Mr. Thomson will go to England to submit his design to the Admiralty and War Office. I Messrs. Lebaudy were among the earliest inventors in the field of aerial navigation. In 1905 their dirigible balloon travelled from Moisson, near Mantes, to Toul, in three stages, and when at Toul carried out evolutions over the forts and batteries in a remarkable manner. Messrs. Lebaudy presented their balloon to the nation, and the French Ministry of War subsequently ordered three others. One was to be used as a "training-ship," and the others were to be stationed on the' FrancoGerman frontier.
