[Deceased was* a son of the Sir Daniel Cooper who was first Speaker of the New South Wale& Assembly after the granting of a Constitution to the colony, and succeeded his father in the baronetcy in 1902. He was a member of the Jockey Club and of the Royal Yacht Squadron.]
