Sixty competitors started from Windsor for Stamford Bridge, in the Marathon j race for the Sporting Life's challenge trophy, value £500, to be held for twelve months. Barrett, of the Polytechnic Club, arrived first, in 2hr 42min 31sec ; Lord, of the Wembley Park Club, being second, in 2hr 44min 33sec ; and Green, of the Sutton Club, third, in 2hr 49min lsec.
