WOOL SALES.
CLOSE FIRM AT TOP PRICES. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright;. (Received March 27, 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, 26th March. The wool sales closed firm at top prices. Pare clip realised 9£d; Mokopeka, 13£ d. Messrs Murray, Roberts, and Co. have received the following wool market cablegram from ,their London agents, Messrs Sanderson, Murray, and Co., dated 26th March :--"Tho sales have closed with 13,000 bales held over. The market closed very firm with no material change." The Dep~artment of Industries and Commerce has received the following cable from the High Commissioner, dated London, 26th March, 1909 :— Wool sales closed firm, with excellent competition for all descriptions. Advance i-. fully maintained, a very small quantity being held over. Business in manufacturing districts is improving, and prospects are favourable. Estimated values are as follow : — Superior merino, Is to Is 2d ; medium merino, lOd to Is ; inferior merino, 7d to 9£d ; fine crossbreds, all grades, Is to Is 3d ; medium erossbreds, all grades, 9£d to fl^d ; ooarse crossbreds, all grades, 6£d to 9£d.
