TO-MORROW'S SPORTS.
Some doubt was entertained by the . committee controlling the sports meeting, which is to be held on the Basin Reserve to-morrow as to the presence of Woodger, the champion sprint runner of the Dominion. The committee announces that arrangements have been made with the Railway Department, where ho is employed, to allow of Woodger attending, and he will compete in the luO si.d 12201 220 yards handicaps. He is on the i scratch mark in each event, and hopes to equal, if not excel, his previous test time. An attraction is to be included on 1 the programme in the shape of, an exhibition of the Irish reel by Miss t Mona Butler and Miss Imelda Fam:i. It is to be regretted that Wallace will be unable to carry out his intention to compete in the hammer-thi owing, as he 'was urgently called back to AucklauJ. A quarter and a half-mile race are set aside for members of the Victoiii College Club, so that the selectors i-an make of choice for representative hon>ours in the coming inter-varsity tournament. Competitors from the \ ictoria College have also helped to B>w!>il iha sprint and field events, and on the present showing, should give a good account of themselves. The tug-of-war is expected to excite a lot of attention. Jupp s Biats Band will play selections during - the afternoon.

Hannah and Co. advertise the best Rugby and soccer boots for sale at reduced prices. Membera of the Athletic Football Club will meet at No. 3 Polo Ground to-morrow afternoon. Messrs. Begprs Bros, notify that groceries at reduced prices can be obtained at their Tory and Constable streets establishments. TWo Lambton-quay properties aro advertised for sale by Messrs. Warburton and Co. At 2 o'clock on Tuesday Messrs. T. Kennedy Macdonald, Ltd., will hold a sale of furniture, upright grand piano, on the premises, No. 22, Porirua-road, Kaiwarra. To-morrow afternoon Messrs. Bertenßhaw and Evensen will hold their weekly sale of furniture. Details are advertised. Mr. F. Lecce, who is giving up business, announces in our advertising columns that this is the last week of his sale. Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co. advertise particulars of the continuation of the sale of Messrs. Rash and Gooder's stock, commencing at 11 o'clock to-morrow. Messrs. Longmore and Co., estate agents, publish a business announcement in outadvertising columns. Mr. W. P. Baker Bros, for the last 16 years, has opened offices in the Bank of New South Wales Buildings, under the style of Lpngmore and Co., estate agents.
