SWIMMING.

To-day a swimming tournament was held at Te Aro Baths . by members of the Public Trust Office staff, the principal events being 25 yards maiden and 50 yards handicap, both of which were, won by P. Faire (scratch), the times being 13 3-ssec and 38 2-ssec respectively. In the 25 yards event G. Ronaldson and C. Riddick took second and third places, and in the 50 yards, Allan and Riddick were second and third respectively. Messrs. Chappell, Fordham, Wakeham, Elliffe, Myers, Koura Ereatara, and Alexander also started. Messrs. Kendall, Zachariah, and Barr acted as judges and handicappers, and Mr. J. J?inlay as timekeeper and starter.
