THE FOREST HALL.
o LIKELY TO BECOME A TOTAL WRECK. STATEMENT BY THE MASTER. [BT TELEGBAPH — PItESS ASSOCIATION. 1 AUCKLAND, Tin* Day. Captain Collins, master of the Forrest Hall, states that the ship struck the beach about twenty miles below Cape Maria Van Diemen, about 10 o'clock on Saturday morning, and that she is likely to become a total wreck. All hands got ashore on Monday, after which, the ship listed heavily to seaward. At 3 p.m. seas were sweeping clean over her, and at times reached half-way up the mainmast. Her back apoears to be broken. Small quantities of wreckage have been washed up on the beach. The crew have been treated with every hospitality by the residents.
