MOTHER ATTEMPTS TO KILL HER CHILDREN. By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright, MELBOURNE, 2nd February. A Avoman named Field, living at Park Vale, gave her tAvo children, a boy and a girl, a decoction of match heads, and drank some of the mixture herself. She also shot the girl in the head. The latter is now out of danger, but mother and boy are in a critical state. It is supposed the deed Avas done during a fit of temporary insanity.
