Under the Prevention of Corruption Act, Samuel Harris, general meichant, Barbican, London, was sentenced to six months' imprisonment for offering the clerk of a collecting firm money to declare that goods from Germany were below their value. Tho Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company's annual review of the frozen meat trade anticipates lower prices for the current year than prevailed last year, as the purchasing power is restricted, and the rate of meat consumption can only be maintained a^ low prices.
