CO-OPERATIVE BUILDING SOCIETY.
, c The annual report of the City and Suburban Co-operative Building Society to be presented at a meeting to be held on the 24th inst., states that: — "It will be observed that the operations of the society continue satisfactory. There is a sum of £1419 12s 4d on hand in the Post Office Savings Bank and Bank of New South Wales. From this amount, however, requires to be deducted the sum of £850, being the amount of loans to members which are not yet completed. An appropriation by ballot will be held during the month of January next. Messrs. R. H. Nagle and J. Fenton are the retiring directors this year, and being eligible, offer themselves for reelection." The auditor, Mr. Sutton, being eligible, also offers himself for reelection. The report of the shareholders of the second issue states :—"lt: — "It is satisfactory to note that after paying expenses, the profit and loss account has been increased, making the total at credit £38 3s 6d. There requires to be deducted from the money on nand — £511 10s 6d— £3oo for loans to members which have not been completed. The remarks in tho first issue regarding directors and auditor apply also in this issue."
To-morrow, at 1 p.m., Messrs. Bertenshaw and Evensen will sell by auction, at Watts's Horse Bazaar, Dixon-street, a sale of English-made vehicles and harness, including — Light landau, a 4-wheel dogcart, wagonette, oi canoo barouche, harness, etc. ; also at 2 o'clock, on the ■premises, 209, Aro-stveet (instructed by Mr. W. Smith), household furniture.
