INDIAN SEDITION.
EXCITEMENT AT CALCUTTA.. AN EDITOR SENTENCED. By Tele&rapn.— Press Association.— Copyright. CALCUTTA, 14th December. There is great excitement among the natives at Calcutta, owing to the arrest of Mutra, the editor of the native newspaper, Sanjibani, on a charge connected with thp. students' dacoities. Another arrest which has been effected is that of Dutt, a prominent seditious leader in Eastern Bengal, who was apprehended at Barisan. Baburam, the editor of the native newspaper, Swarajya, has been sentenced to seven years' imprisonment on a charge of sedition. PUBLIC MEETING PROHIBITED. (Received December 15, 8.22 a.m.) CALCUTTA, 14th December. The prohibition of public meetings for a month prevents the holding of an Extremist Native Congress in Nagpore. There is growing excitement at Calcutta.
