Tliq recount of votes cast in the second ballot for Dunedin North has advanced another stage. Mr. Ward, to whom Mr. Widdoivson, S.AT., deputed tho task of conducting the recount, presented his report to the magistrate this afternoon. It is freely rumoured that seventeen ballot papers are missing, but those concerned in tho recount will not divulge information. DUNEDIN, This Day. Mr. Widdowson reports that he is not satisfied that all voting papers for Dunedin North have been placed before him, and he says ho is unable, consequently, to complete tho recount. The probabilities are that Mr. Barclay will take action by an election petition.
