SATURDAY'S GJQIKS. WELLINGTON v. THORNDON. Apart from tbo usual jnter-club fixtures, the chief event of Saturday was a ieven-rink friendly match between the two senior clubs — Wellington and Thorndon — on the latter's green. Pleasant weather prevailed, and the games proved) very enjoyable, although the Thomdon Club suffered defeat by 165 points to 132. There was a goodly attendance of ladies to the green during the afternoon, and the physical comfort of the visitors was well looked after by a large committee of ladies, who dispensed afternoon tea in the upstairs portion of the pavilion.
