The Crown Princess of Germany secretly sold a diamond tiara for £5000 and gave the proceeds to the widows and orphans of the miners lost in tho recent disaster at Radbad, Westphalia. The Crown Princess (formerly the Duchess Cecilia of Mecklenburg•Schwenn) was born in 1882, and married in. 1905. The disaster at Radbad was. due to an explosion of fire damp. < Three hundred and sixty lives were' lost.
