» At the meeting of the Exchange today, Bank of New Zealand shares were sold at £8 2s 6d, a fractional advance on tho last transaction reported a week ago. Leyland O'Brien Timber were taken at ±51 3s, and buyers were prepared to go on at a slight concession. No ecrip changed hands in the mining section, but Talisman quotations, held theirdividend. Taranaki Petroleum were or* offer down to 5s 3d, and Westport Stockton could have been bought at 9s ■ 9d.
