FINAL DAY OF MANAWATU SHOW.
(By Telegraph.) (From Our Specal Reporter.) PALMERSTON N., This Day. For the final day of the Manawa-tu show the weather is slightly dull, but on the whole it is pleasant, and there is every prospect of another huge assemblage of the public. Judging is now completed, and the stock is being carefully inspected by pastoralists, farmers, and others interested. The riding tests in the ring were started at 10 o'clock this morning, and will extend over the whole day, so sightseers will be well cartered for. Additional awards for dogs made this morning are : — H. P. Guppy, Wellington, first for bull terriers, and A. A. Holiday, Wellington, first for St. Bernards. G. C. Eeynolds, Wellington, for his New Zealand bred bulldog puppy slut, gained three first and two second prizes. This morning's leaping competition for ponies was won by J. Goodwin's Grace Darling.
