[BT TELEGHAPH — rEESB ASSOCIATION.] NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. The annual mooting of tho North Island Brass Bands Association was held last night. Mr. M. Cohen presided. Tho annual report stated that fiftyfive bands were now affiliated. The financial position was sound, tho association having a cash balance of £157. Mr. Cohen commented adversely on tho withdrawal of the Kaikorai Band from tho present contest as unsportsmanlike. A proposal to hold an annual Eisteddfod was held over. It was decided to revise and reprint the ljules. Hastings will be tho scene of the next contest. It was decided to in future allot different music to second-class bands, and to sectioniso the first-class. A niotion to elect three judges instead of ono elapsed for want of a seconder.
