WAIKANAE POST OFFICE.

OPENED BY THE HON. W. HALLJONES. [By Tkleoraph.] (From Our Special Reporter.) WAIKANAE, This Day. Tho new post office hero was opened by the Hon. W. Hall-Jones this afternoon. The Minister was accompanied by Mr. Hutton, Chief Postmaster, and > Mr. W. S. Furby, Inspector of Telegraphs. The new building was built in wood by Mr. Smith, at a cost of about £700. It is a good, useful sort of building, , .vhich will serve the requirements of tho district for many years. Mr. Field, M.P!, came up with the party and presided at the official luncheon tendered tho Minister. Later in the day the Minister opened i new tennis court, and also attended i public school picnic.
