Harry Wilton, aged 38, a plasterer employed on the Caledonian Hotel, died to-day as the result of injuries sustained by a fall from a scaffold. Deceased was single, and so far aa is known had no relatives in lha colony. ATTACKED BY A BOAR. A Mokoreta farmer (Mr. John M'Laien) met with a startling experience on Sunday afternoon (says tho Mataura Ensign). He went out for a walk, accompanied by his dogs, which put up an "old man" vild boar, and eventually bailed him up. Mr. M'Laren made a llax noose to 6lip over the boar's hind leg, and was proceeding to effect his design when the attacked brute became the aggressor, knocked Mr. M'Laren down, ripped his calf bndly, and proceeded to savage him. Mr. M'Laren, realising thnt his position wan a desperata one, kicked at the boar with hie, sound leg, and thus kept him off. Managing to get upon his fret, he got behind a big ffrn, and thereupon the boar cleared out. Tho dog 3 had persistently worried tho boar all the while Mr. M'Laron was diwn, but the brut? concentrated his fury on him. Mr. M'Lartn became faint with loss of blood, but managed to crawl to a creek near by, where he bathed hia leg. He then nuCceeded in gaining tho top of a ridfrc, vvlfrre he vvns discovered by liis sister nnd a search party at 6 a.m. on Mond.iy. The sutfcier v\as taken to <v private hospital at Wvndham, where, is is recovering from tho shock received.
