The military matching competition today in the Recreation Sports Ground attracted an attendance of upwards of seven tnonsand Tho march "Nibba" was capitally rendered by most of the eleven competitors, the result being: — Taranaki Garrison — Military points 180 1-3, music 96 ; total 2% i-3. Master-ton — 179 1-3 and 95 ; total 272 1-3 Woolston— l7s and 96; total, 261. Palmerston North— l 77 1-6 and 92 ; total 269 1-6. Nelson Garrison - -172 A and 95; total 267*. Auckland First Battalion — 171 and 95 : total 266. Mornington— l7l 2-3 and 88 ; total 259 2-3. Hastings— l 66 1-6 and 89; total 255 1-6. Marton— l7o 1-3 and 81 ; total 251 1-3. Manaia— ls6 and 80 ; total 236. Auckland Mounted Rifle.; — 148 and 82; total 230. Trombone trio — Wanganui, 74 points, 1 ; Auckland First Battalion, 73 points, 2. Wools-ton, 71 ; Mornington, 70 ; Taranaki, 69; Masterton, 66, also competed.
