Tho Bombala was badly dented on the starboard bow, near tho waterline. i The Bombala is a steel screw 6teamer of 3540 ton 3 gross, built in 1904 by Sir J. Laing and Sons> Ltd., Sunderland, and owned by Howard, Smith and Co., Ltd.
