The steamer Bcmbala collided with the steam dredge Dolphin at Pinkenba, down the Brisbane river. Tho dredge went down bow foremost, but the crew wero rescued. Tho Bombala was badly dented on the starboard bow, near tho waterline. i The Bombala is a steel screw 6teamer of 3540 ton 3 gross, built in 1904 by Sir J. Laing and Sons> Ltd., Sunderland, and owned by Howard, Smith and Co., Ltd.
