The senior cricket match resulted in a win for the Tax Department representatives, who made 164 — M'Lennan 33, Miller 46 not out, Skelley 22, and- Leys 11. against 71 by the Railers — Porteoug 16, Chavlton 14, and Wilson 11. Nask seven for 102, bowled best for the Railways ; Miller two for 12, Hutchon three for 17, Platts one for seven, and Adams one for two were the most successful bowlers for the Tax.
