THE BUTTER OUTLOOK.
Though holders of butter may see nothing to laugh at in the report from London about the "strong downward tendency" on the recent extraordinary quotations for butter in the metropolis, housewives will find some comfort in the news. The golden butter has threatened to become more and rnoic golden, for it is said that the parching of the pastures has .brought about a noticeable, shrinkage in tile butter output.
