CRICKET. CHAMPIONSHIP FIXTURES.
The Phtenix senior team will meet Newtown on No. 3, Basin- Reserve, on Saturday next. This is in addition to the senior matches at present in pro- - gress. The following junior championship fixtures ha-ve . been decided upon :—Wellington College v. V.M.C.A., College ground; St. Patrick's College Old Boys 'v. Wellington B, Basin Reserve, No. 4; Midland v. St. John's, Athletic Park, No. 1; Wadestown v. Old Boys, Ath. letic Park, No. 2; Wellington A v. Gas Company, Athletic Park, No. 3; Phoenix v. Waiwetu, Waiwetu ; Petone v. Victoria College, No. 1. Petone; New-* town v. Thomdon, No. 2, Petone. Messrs. Fullers' Company and Truth staff played a cricket match at Day's Bay the other day. Fullers' won by 88 runs, making 182, Truth replying with 94. For the winners (Sisson 37, Dingle 22, Claridge 22) played well, and (Mahoney 25, and Hesford 20) for the losers.
