PSYCHICAL RESEARCH. REVIVING THE WELLINGTON SOCIETY.
An effort was made last night by those interested to revive the Psychical Research Society, which, according to the statement of the secretary, Mr. T. Page, had become moribund. It was proposed at the meeting to hold "circles" in a room which had been procured for the exclusive use of the society in Abel Smith-street. The im estigation of physic phenomena could, thtis be conducted and discussion on tho subject would follow at subsequent debates. The question of ways and means was reviewed by JIT*. J. Donovan, who was voted to the chair. It was stated that the liability would probably amount to as much as £52 per annum. The final decision > r as that £10 should be guaranteed in advance, and that the liabilities of the society should be met by a levy of 2s per member each month.
