It is considered that tho lifo of tho lato Premier, Nassr el Mulk, who with two other Ministers was imprisoned by order of tho Shah after the Ministry had resigned, was in. danger during the ; recent trouble, and this is assigned as the reason, for his incarceration. Air. Wins'ton Churchill, Parliamentary Under-Secretary to the! British Colonial Office, who has been visiting East African colonies, and is now in this country, had an interview with tho Shah, and raised tho question of British prestige. He^secured the release of Nassr el Mulk,. with permission to go to Europe and remain there in exile. THE SHAH MAKES A BEQUEST. TREASON AGAINST THE CONSTITUTION. (Received December 18, 8.22 a.m.) TEHERAN, 17fch December. The Shah asked for tho dismissal of 2000 armed Nationalists, who were guarding Parliament, but tho President refused, declaring that the Shah was committing treason against tho constitution, necessitating his deposition.
