[BT TEIiEGBAm.— VRES3 ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCII, 26th Sept. The body of a well-dressed woman, about sixty years of ago, was found in a creek on the Heathcote Rivor at ? o'clock this morning. The body has not yet boon identified. A woman last night called at several houses in the neighbourhood and asked for food. DUNEDIN, 26th September. Thomas Walker, aged 38 years, employed on the Enterprise dredge at Alexandra, was accidentally drowned while leaving lha dredgo this morning. Deceased was a married man with four children, the -eldest of whom was nine years old. HASTINGS, 26th Scptenib-2f. Mr. Laurence Coltle, well known in Hawkes Bay hunting ..circles, ' waa thrown from his horse and dragged some distance. Tho animal trod on Hi» v Chest. Ho was convoyed to Napiol Hospital. He had only recently recovered from another bad fall at Waipukurau.
