In the House of Commons -yesterday tho grant of £50,000 to Lord Cramer in recognition of his services in Egypt was agreed to by 254 votes to 107. The vote met with opposition on the part of Irish and Labour members. In tho House of Lords the vote was carried with acclamation.

The King sent a message to Parliament, signed by his own hand, recommending a grant of £50,000 to the Earl in recognition of his eminent services as British Agent in Egypt for a period of twenty-four years.
