ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
[BT TELEGBAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, This Day. A young mnn named Patrick KelLy, a fireman employed on the railway works at Remuera, when assisting to shunt loaded trucks, slipped on the line, and had his right leg almost completely severed just below the knee., The limb was amputated at the hospital. It is expected Kelly will recover. MASTERTON. This Day. 1 News , was received in Masterton. today of a fatal accident at Tenui, the victim being a girl named Annie Fellingham. Deceased was 'riding to school ion horseback, when the horse bolted and the girl was dragged some distance along the road, her foot being caught in the stirrup. The child lived only a few minutes. . REEFTON, This Day. ■ W. Nedd, late of Murchison, was taken suddenly ill and died in the hospital yesterday. At the inquest last night the doctor's evidence showed that death was tho result of internal injuries. It was not known how they were received. The inquest was adjourned for further particulars (o be obtained. Mrs. J. S. Wilson, an old 'pioneer on tho Coast, dropped dead last night. She was' the licensee of the Miner's Hotel here. As she had never consulted a doctor in her life an inquest is considered necessary.
