LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. The Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Hon. Mr. Pere was granted ono ■week's leavo of absence on account of ill health. The Invercargill Offices Site Act, 1875, Amendment Bill, 1907, (tho Hon. Mr. Feldwick) was read a first time. The second reading of tho Farriers Bill (which passed the House on tho 19th inst.) was moved by tho Hon. J. E. Jenkinson. (Left sitting.)
