AN AUCKLAND GRIEVANCE.
[dt tblegraph.— rnzss association.] AUCKLAND, This Day. The contract let by the Government for the construction of the Arthur's Pass tunnel on the Midland Railway was strongly commented upon at a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce to-day. The opinion was generally expressed that the monoy could be used in other ways so as to give better returns. A resolution was carried urging the Auckland members to take united action to secure a fair and just allocation to the Auckland province of moneyß for railways and othor public .works.
