Rain.— Very heavy and rivers heavy flood noith of Eapt Cape, Taupo, and Mjmikau, cj> tending southward to Napier after 20 hour.s, and piobably heavy rain other pails of Noith Isliind. Warning signals for easterly gale are exhibited nt Cape, Mann Van J>iera£!i, Tintiri, En«t Cape, Cape Campbell, and Farewell Spit. SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS. Falling baiometer nt all places northward of Napier and New Plymouth, especially jn the most noitliern places, whetc it has fallen nearly half an inch with heavy gale and rain from the eastward, but there, has been little- movcrafiu thence south to Cape.
