At the first day of tho Pahiatua Racing Club's meeting the sum of £5983 was passed through the totali'sator, being £1109 less than the amount handled on the corresponding day last year. Following are the concluding results : — Pahiatua Cup, of 165 soys ; one mile and a quarter. — Mr. R. Knox's Royal Blue, 7.9 (S. Reid), 1; Nova, 7.1, 2; Makikihi, 7.0, 2. Also started— Montigo 8.6, Roseal 7.13, Dulcinea 0.9, Variation 67, Pomegranate 6.7. Won by a length. Time, 2min 10 2-ssec. Dividends, £4 9s and 17s. Telegraph Hack Race, of 50 soys ; five furlongs.— Cyreno, 9.0, 1 ; Waicola, 7.7, 2 ; San Julie. 7.5, 3.
