LAND SALE.
THE RAROA ESTATE. The- auction sale of tho above estate was hiild last oveniug at tho Chamber of Commcrco by Messrs. Dwan Bros., tho room being crowded to tho doors. The auctioneers report that tho whole of tho sections offered were- disposed of, there being keen competition for every lot. The prices realised were, in most cases, above tho reBcrves which tho vendors had placed on tho property. "This sale proved," remarked Mr. Dwan, "that land will always sell if tho prices are reasonable, and that there is a genuino demand for cheap sections in Wellington suburbs." The lots not offerea last evening aro now for private sale at tho upset prices announced elsewhere by Messrs. Dwan Bros., Willis-street. Tho following aro tho buyers' names and tho prices realised per foot for the sections; — BLOCK I.
