CUP WON BY BOUERASQUE. • PALMERSTON, 26th December. ■ The summer meeting of the Manawatu ; Racing Club opened to-day in beautiful weather and with a large attendance of tho jpublic. The racing throughout the day was of a high quality, most of the winners being concealed until the finish. Apa, who was looking very fit, went out a strong favourite in tho Cup, but ll.e ] bay gelding had to concede fir3t pJa.'o lo Bpurra3que, who managed to wrest ! victory after a punishing finish.
