[BY TELEGBAPff. — PKESS ASSOCIATION^ •AUCKLAND, This Day. An Austrian youth, who failed to pass the education test upon arriving from Sydney a week ago upon tho steamer Manuka, has bsen ordered by tho magistrate to be deported to Sydney and kept in gaol until the time of leaving. The youth was detained on the steamer, but escaped and was arrested. The ■Collector of Customs said the youth would probably learn to write after spending a few weeks in Sydney, and could then be admitted to the colony.
