DIVERTING INCIDENTS.
LONDON, 18th October. Reuter's correspondent at Berlin states that tho pseudo captain changed his uniform for civilian clothes at Rixdorf, where his sword has been found. After arresting the Mayor of Kopenick, in the Kaiser's name, the thief tried to extort funds from the terrified officials of the Municipal Savings Bank, saying that he wanted two million marks. Fortunately the cashier had departed, and the officials weie unable to oblige the visitor. The police, impressed by the "captain's" bearing, kept the crowds back while tho troops conducted the Mayor to a carriage, Somo policemen mid a sergeant of. Grenadiers conveyed the Mayor to Berlin. His wifo was allowed to accompany him.
