TE RANGI PAI. Some months ago the New Zealand contralto, Te Rangi Pai, gave a sacred recital in the Town Hall, and so great was its success that promises were made to repeat it the following Sunday evening However, owing to the death of the late Premier, the concert was abandonod Te Rangi Pai, who has just returned from Australia, will give a sacred recital in the Town Hall on Sunday evening. She will be supported by a Btrong combination. THE STEELE-PAYNE COMPANY. The Steele-Payne Bellringers gavo another enjoyable performance in the Opera House last night, when hearty approval of every item on tho programme was given by the audience. This evening the company will conclude its Well lmgton season. THEATRE ROYAL. The Fuller Company is presenting an acceptable programme to patrons of the Theatre Royal this week. The Driscoll Bros, are a strong attraction, and the other members of tho company are above the average. RICKARDS' VAUDEVILLE COMPANY. The box plan for the short season of ten nights of Mr. Harry Rickards's Vaudeville Company was opened this morning' at the Dresden Piano Warehouse. The company finished what is said to be one of the most successful seasons recorded by Mr. Rickards's managers at His Majesty's Theatre, Auckland, last night. Seymour, Dupre, Brinn, Little Cliff, and tho other artists were ropeatedly called before the curtain. The company will appear to-morrow night at Wanganui, and on Friday night at Palmerston North. The orchestra, of the Wellington Working Men's Club assisted by friends, gave a concert at the Home for the. Aged Needy last night, greatly to the enjoyment of the inmates. Items were given by the Misses Carmichael and Hawthorn, Messrs. Morgan, Lisle, Watkins, M'Kechnie, Grieg, Deranzi, Beck, Williams, Lewis, and M'Corniah. The friends of the Wellington Navala and Old Navals' Association are invited by ddvertisement to attend a social gathering to be held on Friday evening next in the boat station. Arrangements have been made to ensure an enjoyable evening. The proceeds are to go to the fund for furnishing the social hall. The Kelburne Volunteer Fire Brigade, assisted by the Wellington Banjo, Mondolinß, and Guitar Club, will give a concert in the Kelburne Schoolroom this evening.
