LONDON MARKETS. HEAVY IMPORTS OP TEA. [PKHSS ASSOCIATION.] (Received October 17, 7.10 a.m.) LONDON, 16th October. Cooper, on tho spot, £99 5s per ton; three mowths, £93 17s 6d. Tin.—Spot, £195 15s per ton; three months, £195. Lead, £19 15s per ton. Tho tea market is hardening, owing to tho strong statistical position. Nine months' deliveries in Great Britain amount to 20,752,000 pounds in excess of the corresponding period last year, practically the whole incrc&so being represented by Indian and Ceylon teas. At the opening wool eale of the season there was a good attendance and competition. Prices showed little, if any, material cbango from, the opening prices last year. Crossbreds were practically not represented. Grecsy sold up to 12|d per lb, scoured to 21d. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonville stock sale yesterday as follows:—A full entry of bullocks of prime quality. Bidding was keen throughout. Beef made up to 23s 6d, best bullocks £10 ss, others £9 10s to £10, lighter bullocks £8 15s to £9 ss. A small yarding of sheep, mostly plain quality. Best ewes 21s 9d, lighter ewes 18s 3d, plain ewes 15s 9d, best wethers 22s 9d, plain wethers 20a lOd to 21s 2d, Down wethers 21s 2d.
