PERSONAL MATTERS.

Mr. Lionel Caselberg, who has been on a visit to Europe, returned to Wellington on Thursday night. A memorial service for the late Mrs. B. Robertson, a Wellington resident of over half a century, will be held to-mor-row evening in the Sydney-street Primitive Methodist Church. Mr. G. A. K. Darbyshire, Secretary of the Colonial Mutual late Society, is on a visit of inspection to the Auckland office pf the society, and will probably be in the northern capital for a week. It is understood (says the Auckland Star) that the Rev. A. T. Thompson, the 1 popular pastor of St. James's Presbyterian Church, Thames, received a unanimous call to Masterton, and that the iw. gentleman will probably accept.
